It was a delight to find the rare nudibranch that sports the colors of the University of California. This beautiful creature faced extinction 45 years ago, when the population declined to almost nothing. Now it is reappearing around southern California, particularly in the Casino Point Marine Park, near Catalina Island. Capturing this photo was worth the cold water temperatures!
