Grumpy Bass

Casino Point Marine Park near Catalina Island is filled with the grumpiest looking fish you have ever seen. This calico bass is definitely looking at me with some negative thoughts in his head! Because people feed fish in the park (please don't feed wild animals!) the bass in the area would come directly up to my camera, several inches away from my lens. It certainly made for easy photography. These bass can live for 32 years and grow over 2 feet long!
